ITF Announces Formation of XPO Global Leadership Task Force

The ITF (International Transport Workers’ Federation) today unveiled an XPO global leadership group to tackle the company’s anti-worker, anti-union stance. The new initiative was announced by the organisation’s general secretary, Steve Cotton, from its inaugural meeting in Los Angeles, USA.
The ITF is a global federation representing over 16.5 million workers worldwide in 654 transport workers’ unions in 148 countries worldwide.  The newly formed task force will work to determine XPO Logistics campaign priorities and overall strategy with a focus on bringing justice to – and improving the lives of workers at – XPO facilities around the globe.  Thousands of XPO employees are currently represented by unions in Europe and by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters in the US.
ITF general secretary Steve Cotton explained: “XPO is a worldwide logistics and transportation company that is making huge profits on the backs of its workers, and our member unions will stand together and combine our resources to fight the mistreatment and exploitation that is taking place. Together, we will help improve the lives of tens of thousands of XPO workers worldwide.”
James P Hoffa, general president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, commented: “This is a very exciting development in the worldwide campaign for justice for workers at XPO here in North America, in Europe and around the globe.
“During our organising campaigns involving freight and warehouse workers, and in the campaign to stop XPO from misclassifying port workers, we have seen how XPO’s vicious anti-worker, anti-union tactics harm workers. This global task force will take XPO head on so that workers will be treated fairly, lawfully and with dignity.”
The new leadership group currently consists of nine members, including newly elected president of the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF), and president of the BTB Union in Belgium, Frank Moreels.

It's about time people with some backbone got together and fight all the greed that's happening.
Most of the XPO worker's are still waiting for management and Jacobs to give them scraps from their pocket change.

Gee I don't know what happened in salt lake , but it can't be good.. also we lost the John deer contract. We're losing tons of freight we can't find drivers to want to work here . Can you blame them... lots of bad stuff going on at XPO wonder how long Brad will keep us around???

I think Brad is going to be looking for some CASH for his 8 billion dollar spending spree? These zombies that work at XPO-CONJOB are going to get a rude awakening when we go the way of truckload. In Orlando the incompetence is rampant they don't know how to right the sinking titanic where down to 1 sales person the others quit or where fired. They hired Dock worker's then they fire the dock worker's know there going to hire dock worker's makes no sense? loosing customers left and right it's a matter of time before Jacobs cuts the anchor loose IS it time to abandon ship?

Looks like Brad should have dumped more than just that lean system, his management team that's running this place is clueless, seems like only thing they can do right is fool him, hope he does sell us and maybe something will change. We drivers ain't happy and we are the backbone of this company and because were big don't mean shit, just one big joke.Just sitting back and watching xpn sink.

Ula driver we need to grow some balls and vote for yes for union representation, we heard all the lies from management and the labor consultants(union busters) the company hired to put fear on most of us and divide us. take a look at ULX, miami, laredo, chicago, philadelphia and new jersey those drivers are fighting for all of us it's time for us to get involved to start supporting them.

get ready supervisors are going to start handing LOI's and giving strikes for minor b/s. we need to unionize or we won't have a chance against management threats and retaliations. collective bargaining and grievance procedures is the only way to bring justice against against hostile work environment.

When this big brother pilot -program was rolled out to us in xpn it was told to us that it was so our customers could see when they were getting their frt.what a big lie ,it is so they can watch you as soon as you punch in ,then at each and every stop and if route takin is not to there likening, be ready because you will get drilled about your day by our miserable T.M. So be ready this is a preview of what's coming to everybody.

We have the worst reputation ever, and they're about to lose more real soon .. this T.M. Has chased everyone out of here no one wants to work here!!! When will this company wake up to what's going on here!! Also customers can't stand him we've lost about have our freight over the past 2 years!!!
