Union Benefits

Your Retirement and Your Health Benefits are part of what your Union does for you. Many people across America spend their whole lives working and have nothing to show for it. You can look forward to a pension.

Every pay period, employers contribute money into your pension account as negotiated in Your Contract. Over time, the money adds up. Each company has different rules about the amount of money contributed, how many years you have to work, and how old you have to be before you can retire and collect your pension.

Most members of Local 63 are covered by the Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Plan. The Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Plan is now on-line.

The Western Conference of Teamsters (WCT) Pension Plan was established in 1955 through collective bargaining between labor and management. Today your Plan is the largest area-wide multiemployer pension plan in the United States. It covers 200,000 active participants through pension agreements negotiated by local unions with more than 1,600 employers predominantly in 13 Western states.

Conway’s policy on being sick,
First time 1 point= unexcused absent
Second time 2 points= unexcused no show no call verbal warning with H.R.
Third time 3 points= meeting with regional H.R. LAST WARNING
fourth time 4 points= suspension and termination(if you have a manager like Paul styers he will push hard to get you fire) don't forget this on October 23 vote "YES"

A good example of were Conway drops the ball is.... That higher up's in management are seeing this everyday and yet they do nothing to follow up or even investigate on Paul (ULX). There are still many allegations and complaints on this guy and nothing! If they knew what's good for them they would start there.

Raises didn't go in affect yet because Conway wants to see if they can change the union talk before giving us what we deserve. Today we had regional manager and terminal manager cooking breakfast and we drivers filled our bellys looking at them thinking what bitches. Midwest still on board fellas. Got them right where we want them don't back down now or they'll come back with a vengeance. Teamsters willing go all in now and we might not have another chance. Conway just doing like we predicted with pay raise that we have not gotten, feeding us, and now acting like they care. Much too late boys. MIDWEST LOCAL 414

Proof that No driver is safe yesterday at usb one of dispatchers favorites was sent home after he took his health assessment test and they found out he had high blood pressure.

Wow everybody at Conway is just a number even the favorites. Sad part about it is all the brown nosers will become a statistic which is termination at Conway. Conway don't care about you and your family they only care about the bottom line which is making them money so they can have their big bonuses. Think about the future and not about the present the hell with the raise we need representation so we don't get bullied and have job security. Just my 2 ¢ents

Bullshit is only at Conway convenience.how many times have any driver or dock call in sick and you're force to go to work.Conway's management don't care even if you have a doctor's note or excuse

Conway talks about their values safety, integrity, comitment, and excellent. But lately have forgotten the main value that is iintegrity I used to be
proud of the company, but not anymore.They took advantage of the employees and did not care about us anymore that's why I voted yes in Laredo, tx.We used to have a pension, but took it a way for no good reason, and also don't get pay overtime after the eight hour, and do not respect seniority, plus whenever we get a raise the health insurance goes up so my brothers do not forget vote yes.

Had several managers bragging they sold there shares off after Conway posted record second quarter profits also with the inside knowledge that Conway was buying millions of dollars of stock back from employees that was received years ago. We got nothing while they fattened there pockets again. Managers walking around with rose colored glasses while we get nothing, unless you call the end of year bonus check. There fattening there pension with our hard work. The only thing they have leaned out is the value of there workers.

Ok driver's here we go listen up, first of all for conway to give a 15 percent raise all at once is unheard of, this is a ploy to stop us from organizing, when they succeed at that and they will make no mistake about it, tulsa has lost half since the i was just kidding announcement im talking about the fake raise was announced, to counter conway the teamsters has to file a bribery charge, because here is the deal every time we try organizing conway trumps us with hollow bribes and yes tulsa can be bribed with a coke and peanuts i say that because in reality thats what they get, it's sad to imagine people in general would allow corporate America to treat them and there families in this manner, I Say Get A Fucking Backbone PEOPLE AND STAND UP FOR YOURSELF, the ceo of YRC was forced out by the drivers so see it works both ways, conway doesn't threaten us we threaten them and we have them on the ropes so lets get with it tulsa and everyone else on the fence lets finish what laredo started they and california carry there own nuts , Let's make sure the TEAMSTERS Gets the CHARGES filed.

The net income increased by 25.1% when compared to the same quarter one year prior, rising from $42.90 million to $53.67 million.
Despite its growing revenue, the company underperformed as compared with the industry average of 8.8%. Since the same quarter one year prior, revenues slightly increased by 8.0%. Growth in the company's revenue appears to have helped boost the earnings per share.
The debt-to-equity ratio is somewhat low, currently at 0.63, and is less than that of the industry average, implying that there has been a relatively successful effort in the management of debt levels. To add to this, CNW has a quick ratio of 1.55, which demonstrates the ability of the company to cover short-term liquidity needs.
Net operating cash flow has increased to $126.19 million or 16.37% when compared to the same quarter last year. The firm also exceeded the industry average cash flow growth rate of -2.15%.
The stock has risen over the past year as investors have generally rewarded the company for its earnings growth and other positive factors like the ones we have cited in this report. Looking ahead, the stock's rise over the last year has already helped drive it to a level which is relatively expensive compared to the rest of its industry. I need any info. on what would happen to our ccx pension, what there is of it when it was frozen at the end of 2006,in the event that cnw became organized. Also, what would happen to my 7 year teamster's pension that I earned in years past w/ SJTC?

I had no idea that unions were so influential in retirement plans. It sounds like I should get more involved with unions in my industry. If you can get those kinds of benefits, it's definitely worth keeping them around. http://www.cope378.ca/join-us
