I 'm very proud to have coworkers like the ones we have in Laredo,tax.Thanks to them we had a raise starting yesterday and we are getting some respect and not just us but also every other freight companies are now paying attention to the issues because the drivers want to be voice and to be respected as every other employees that work in the company. For example if the supervisor don't respect your soniority, don't expect that your coworker will respect your seniority. And when there no respect everything falls apart so I hope that they will learn about their mistakes and give the respect to each and everyone that deserve it.

XSM here, It's funny how as we get into the NFL playoffs we drivers have our favorite teams and respect and admire them for professionalism and how they earned to get paid for their abilities and not for our own. I mean look at what we do as a team of professionals and the admiration that our customers have for us. Why does employees such as Slatts, Dave Thompson, Perry, Paul Lord, etc. have know respect for what they do and yet root on for our unionized team the Packers. How can you even look into the mirror in the morning know what hypocrite's you are. Don't get me wrong I love the Pack. So don't you think that if given a chance the owners would love to pay them less and line their pockets more. That's what Con-way is doing to us as professionals, they cut out our pension, offer us poor health care, lie to us about having no money aka (John McCutchin)no respect for safe working conditions or equipment maintenance. What kind of people do I work with who have no respect for themselves as professionals. It's time for us to step up and demand by signing the cards asking for union representation. This may seem very difficult for some to understand and I don't mean to point fingers or name names but it's apparent to all the drivers how you feel about unions. If that's true stop watching and patronizing our union sports. I mean really what kind of person would not want for themselves what they want for their sports hero's. Same goes with our Brewers they are in a union. P.S. ask Al why he likes unionized sports and see what he say's, while your at it ask him for some cards to sign for union representation. It's going to be cold out there today so we need to careful.

Now I appreciate how unions help members. I wish I had joined the union from the very start. The benefits of belonging to a union really help both on and off the job. To be honest, I now can't think of a single downside to belonging to the union.
there are times ,when you make a little mistakes. Conway doesn’t give you a chance and fires you without letting you speak up, standing up for your family, and when you’re sick they don’t care and list it as “unexcused”. Conway management states that we must let them know 24 hours in advanced. How could anyone know they are going to be sick? How many LOA we have to have in our files? They ask us to act professional however the treat us like poorly. Are you tired of taking to abuse and not having the liberty of voicing your frustrations? There is no guarantee in keeping our job, even when we give 100 percent of our hard work. Do we have to kiss ass and smile to our supervisors and terminal managers to keep our jobs? What kind of people do they think we are? Think twice, know who you are, know what you want and need for future. If they have never seen hell now they will after they vote NO. People wake up ! Your healthcare ain't nothing. The little raise is nothing! Why , because you will not get another cross the board raise for years. Now do your math. If you think this raise is enough for you over the next few years then vote no. The healthcare is nothing.
