Larry Mungiello was the oldest working courier at FedEx and one of the longest employed. He gave the company 19 years of loyalty, commitment and hard work. He believes that FedEx wanted him out to make way for younger couriers.According to Mungiello, management tried over a period of five years to wear him down. And they would also set me up for failure. If they told me to do something one way, I would do it and afterward they would say it was the wrong way. For example, we were told to always fill the gas tank at the end of our shift. Certain deliveries had to be really early and some of the young couriers wouldn't fill up from the night before so I always filled it the next day. These 900 food processing workers in the Central Valley cut, wash and package salads and other products for the largest supplier of fresh-cut produce in the country. They feed the customers of major grocers, retailers and restaurant chains, including Walmart and McDonald’s.With a revenue of $1.8 billion in 2012, Taylor Farms can afford to treat its workers in Tracy with dignity and pay fair wages, just like their Teamster coworkers have at Taylor Farms’ facilities in Salinas, California.Now think about it Bakersfield if you would have voted for the Union you Could have helped and would have Helped Others by setting standards for All workers.But instead you decided to kiss ass to the a BUNCH OF GREEDY SLAVE DRIVERS.....I hope all YOU NO VOTER are proud of yourselves.

In Moreno Valley, Calif., UNFI broke federal laws that protect workers’ rights when it intimidated, threatened and fired workers. In November 2014, the Teamsters Union was federally certified as the drivers’ union in Moreno Valley, after UNFI managed to delay the counting of the ballots for over a year on a technicality. Yet, UNFI still refuses to recognize the workers’ union.“It’s time for UNFI to stop the bullying and stop the intimidation,” said Steve Vairma, Teamsters Warehouse Division Director. “Over the years UNFI has tried to undermine workers who have asserted their rights protected by United States law, even where the Teamsters have been certified as the workers’ union through federally supervised elections. UNFI wants to destroy its workers’ fundamental rights join together to improve their working conditions.”“Whenever a group of workers at a UNFI warehouse or truck yard attempt to form a union, UNFI management brutalizes them with a barrage of tactics based on contempt and fear, solely for the purpose of intimidating their own workers. It's time Sprouts took a stand to stop this illegal bullying behavior in their supply chain," said Randy Korgan, Organizing Director for Teamsters Local 63 in Covina, Calif. “We expect that Sprouts, with its claim to be values-driven, would tell its suppliers to treat the local workers and local community with respect.”Across America, UNFI has taken massive tax subsidies while local school systems struggle. These employers have misclassified them as independent contractors, which is just a wonky way of saying they engage in wage theft. But after going on strike on five separate occasions, something remarkable is happening to these drivers backed by the Teamsters -- they're winning.In the last month alone, drivers for Pacer Carthage and Shippers Transport Express (STE) have had their concerns validated and are now being recognized as company employees under the law. Seven Pacer drivers won a $2 million claim against the company in San Diego County court, while STE agreed to classify drivers as employees. After voting to join Local 848, the union reached an agreement with STE management and drivers ratified their first union contract.
Port truck drivers in California have benefitted from state and local government officials who are increasingly siding with workers instead of corporate interests. The Teamsters have allies in both Gov. Jerry Brown and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, for instance. But there are signs that others elsewhere are also seeing the light.Earlier this year, the New Jersey Supreme Court issued an important ruling that limited the ability of companies to misclassify workers in the state. The ruling affects not only port truck drivers, but any workers whose employers deemed them independent contractors. And a bipartisan collection of lawmakers in Georgia are currently working to strengthen the misclassification rules on the books there as well.That is important, because the issue of low pay is not just a port truck driver problem -- it is an American problem. This nation's descent into a country sharply divided by income not only hurt those receiving less in their paychecks, it hinders the U.S. economy. Think about it, you are just a number in reality. 50% of the CSR force will be let go in the next 6 months. Don't think it wont happen because it will. Call LDA and see who answers. The call center will take care of all the billing, pickups, issues and anything else. All those night time CSR's that bill in the evening won't be billing any more. The drivers are faxing them to the call center. We've already been doing it for 5 months and lost 9 CSR's out of 19. More will be cut soon. Corporate Greed is the root to all this while the Big Boys spend their huge bonuses and drive their company cars, we do all the work to keep them their. Really think the raise this year put a dent in the bank??????? Look at what the profits were. We are so misled as the majority of the workers. We need a voice, we need a solution, we need an answer.......We can get that from a Union that will challenge these biggots and get us what we don't have now....Job Security and a better paycheck.
