No!!the company hires Lawyers and Consultants to smash organizing drives and Keep workers SILENT through fear,intimidation and threats. They will send someone that is liked from HR to talk and ask whats wrong and if you could change things to make them better what would you do? the fear comes when they talk to you one on one. or have the managers and supervisors stay out so you can think they really care about what is wrong! Thats what happened to us at Estes...Stay strong and God Bless
Listen Conway its not about lets go after Estes or YRC freight! Its about Corporate americas Profits and they don't want to share it with you!! Thats why you pay for your insurance have no good pension,and they make you think your gonna get rich off a 401k that only gets people who have time like a stock broker to make it work for you. But what you do have in common with the other drivers is we do the same kind of work so why not get the good benifits that the union guys get and make conway put it in writing in the form of a CONTRACT..FROM The CONWAY workers trying to better there lives..
I once worked with Estes before that it was GI Trucking. and i remember some of the Union drivers would not talk to us and make dumb comments and i didn't understand why they would act that way? Most of the Union drivers would see how hard i worked and tell me to come join the Union and work at CF or Yellow or Roadway and i would say no Im Happy here they treat us good and give us good benifits which they did at GI.then Estes came in and stoped paying OT and we had to start paying for our benifits and they changed company policy whenever they wanted! people got fired for the smallest things and it was a nightmare to go to work thinking if today was gonna be the day i lost my job or whose ass i had to kiss just to get that good paying run.I finally quit and had enough and thank God i got hired by ABF i saw people retire and get pension benefits and i could talk to the manager without having to kiss his ass or make deals.Everything here is on a contract and they follow it as we do too! its all fair and equal and i don't pay for my benefits or my Pension and i can even join there 401k if i want. they just don't match because they pay for our Pension.I only pay my union dues $63 per month with that comes Respect and Dignity and its worth every penny! I have a savings account with the money i don't have to pay for my insurance which was 100 per week at the time.From your friends at ABF Keep up the fight and stay together!and be Strong!Good things will happen.
do the union busters have contracts?my guess would be yes,im gussing they do because why?hmm could it be they dont trust the company they are doing the job for,and there job is to tell us a story,fictisious of course,now why would conway spend millions of dollors for this story teller,i do know that answer because when we get our union formed with the teamsters,conway wont be able to keep us supressed,and take from us unless we vote on it whatever that may be,thats how a democracy works,but lets not forget we are dealing with controll freaks or are they communist,never the less vote yes and lets show conway how a democracy works,strength is in numbers,when the union busters get here,send them home scratching there heads.if a contract is good enough for them,and upper mgt as well,then then conway shouldnt have a problem giving us one to,unless there hypocrits and my guess is they are,tell you what lets take all there contracts away and see if they show up for work.
Well said "okie" your new company CEO has a contract so why can't you? plus if they were to let him go tomarrow he would get a good severance package lots of money to get fired!! I wonder how much they gave Richard P. and Jose?over at ULX IM willing to bet NOTHING...and they both put in at least 16years each.asking customers for frieght and working hard ..

Is a shirt gonna feed my kids when the cost of milk goes up?.Is a Sweater gonna pay my retirement when i get old ? Is Conway picture frame gonna make are house payments...Is a stupid hotdog or hamburger gonna make my job safe and fair of Bad Service center Manager? waiting to hear from someone in Corporate.
