Hourly employees should not be doing management job checkings on other drivers or harassing co-workers. Safety drivers are being used by conway management to do their dirty work and create a hostile environment among employees, this is a "divide and conquer" mentality that is being created by conway management.don't forget we are teamsters right ozzie
Everyone keeps talking Union, but every time a terminal votes we keep loosing what give are Conway drivers that stupid that they keep voting against there interest? The truth, FOS staff are training DSR's slowly and the truth behind it is to have a non supervisor work with the new lean guys who will replace the FOS staff that don't get on board with lean. You will have a very expensive lean manager who has no knowledge about freight at all forcing the DSR'S to run that portion of the job, the lean manager or supervisor not sure what they will be called but they will make sure everything is in compliance to their standards. This is not a joke but the truth, more supervisors are being treated like trash, the following focus is all towards drivers right now. You treat us bad or make us upset your time becomes limited. You will be cut and out of a job regardless of how long you have been working with them. No loyalty, no respect, no pension, no unemployment because they will not approve it, nothing!

So today I got to speak with a UPS P&D driver.I asked him how things run with UPS and the Union... HIs answer was working for UPS and having a UNION is great.He said the pay is great,the benefits are good and when I retire ill get my full pay(pension)with cobra coverage.He also said there is no management abuse if any problems occur with any worker its dealt with the Union representation.Non of that,Of YOU fucked up you're fired.UPS has to have a good reason to fire someone.We all know how things are done at Con-Way?right? Me as well. As of 3/16/15. I now call ABF home. I really couldn't take much more of those management trainees at NAT. Yes you know who you are. It's bad when the drivers have to school management on how to do their jobs. Trust me. THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOUR SAFETY much less the motoring public. When you take a serious safety issue to the top man and he tells you that he doesn't believe that his supervisor does these things, that tells me that the management is incompetent and ultimately the problem. So glad to be gone.
Hey Conway im a driver for Estes I have seen that driver several times when I have sent to sanford , I watched him one day hanging out parked in front of Lowes behind the gas station .the guy was taking a nap .I went by and saw him for 1hr and a half and Its not the only time .I was wondering how he got away with it dont you guys have GPS in your trucks that guy has balls to do that i have heard other drivers say rhey have seen him at walmart .

About that conway driver . That guy has been doing that for as long as I can remember. Im a driver that does Sanford and i have seen him many many times him killing time by the lowes or walmart .one time we were at the same stop and you know how drivers start talking about stories when they are together well this conway driver was braging to the other driver on the dock that he made his hours by taking it easy and hanging out because conway wanted to get their drivers in early. As soon as i read this i knew exactly who the conway driver was.

It very well sounds to me like some one is hidding something .Im a line haul driver and I was there yesterday morning at Orlando and I heard some if drivers talking about what omar was doing. I heard Omar bragged to everyone how he makes sure he gets at least 60 hours every week! Conway has the computer software in place can't they research it and check how long he sits idle? Whats really wrong is there's some guys barely getting 40 how can management justify him getting 60 every week? Is this payback for his stance against the union. When you think about Integrity the way conway promotes it is right to allow omar perez to continue with stealing comoany time ? Or do we have a double standard here ? Its ovious that omar Perez thinks he has the right to do what he is doing it is a complete hypocrisy and shows that the company principles mean nothing to him .it also shows his arrogant nature .ask yourself why does he feel he is in title to steal time in such a manner . I have read most of the postings that have to do with the driver in Orlando florida. Thus is a very serious matter that needs fir your management to address with the driver who has been taking advantage of your company. Thus is a a serious offence because if other co workers even suspect a cover up by management, this will without a doubt create a broken trust between them that may never be fixed. You can not allow this unfortunate circumstances to divide your service center.

The union will never come to NAT. The drivers at that place get away with murder. So they won't vote the union in because that means they will have to work. The drivers run NAT! I see the same ones everyday stealing time, nothing is ever said to them. Supervisors at this dump are to chicken shit to enforce any company rules, and if they do they change them the next day. I'm sick of the cowboy style. Company policies don't mean shit here. They say safety first HA! Those assholes try to get you to pull rental trailers out of date. Then if you don't they send another driver to do so. Last week they had a meeting on the dock.So the supervisor tells the dock workers, we have company auditors here so for the next few days follow company rules. Like any other day they don't matter. This is the worst job I have ever had! Can't wait to leave!!!

C'mon over to ABF brother! "It's better here". I've decompressed so much from all that went on at Conway that I've lost about 10lbs, and I've only been gone for just about 2 weeks. Best diet I've ever went on.
You people want to talk about stealing time.We at the UOS shop have a so called CSR/Parts person been at con-way for 25 years.But don't call parts person because she will come down on you for calling her that....But this person doesn't have to do her job because all she has to say is I don't know what to do and her job gets passed on to someone else to do.All her responsibilities have been modified so she doesn't have to work so hard.She basically runs the shop.If you're standing filling out your paper,She will come and tell shouldn't you be working.Or she will tell you to work harder.She had a problem with a mechanic having candy at his tool box,But from what i'm told she sits at her desk and eats all day.So now you're only allowed to have drinks on your tool box and we had to fight for that.She controls the shop and supplies for the shop,If she feels like getting them we get them otherwise you're screwed.Then she will miss count or tag parts wrong but someone else gets the blame for it.She can also take hour to hour and half lunch,long breaks too,Also with the old kronos system she would leave early and punch her self out.But if anyone else takes an extra minute she will tell the supervisor or regional manager then you're being reprimanded.she has the time to watch everyone else but not do her job.I even heard she complained about a vendor taking to long in the bathroom even tho he was on his lunch break.And yes this has been brought to the regional managers and current supervisor attention and from what I understand few employees have even call the ethics number.But we've been told that we need to show her support and help her out.But don't let management see you ask the other mechanic for help because she will tell on you and management will come right to you and tell you what's your problem you're a journeyman mechanic you shouldn't need help.So you people talk about favoritism and stealing company time she's been doing it for all those years management knows about it and has done nothing. From what i understand some people refuse to deal with her.But like i said management just defends her,Everyone else is the problem according to her and management...We the mechanics at the shop work hard giving management good score cards and thats the thanks we get from them. Goatman here, I had the displeasure of working with this lazy, timestealing CSR/parts person for 3+ years. All above is exactly true. The real icing on this turd cake is that when she sees a mechanic doing something she doesn't like, she won't politely go to the mechanic or even to shop supervisor. Instead she calls regional manager on his cell phone to complain about a long potty break or whatever. That regional then calls the shop supervisor to reem his ass to get his employees in line... Really toxic environment at UOS and she is the cancer that makes sure everyone walks on egg shells around there. Hard to believe a 25year employee can walk around that smug and untouchable in these days of purging of employees. 1hour lunches, 1st to the potlucks to stuff her face, leaving early 2-3x/weekly, really blatant stealing of time. She must have something on the ones in charge, anyone else would be fired, kicked out on their ass in a heartbeat pulling childish crap like this. Glad I moved on to greener pastures...

XME full time dock workers Corey King and Corey Brown have been caught stealing time on more then one occasion by FOS Mark Pabst and terminal manger Jeff. They were caught swiping into building maintenance and Lean time and stealing time(OVER TIME AT THAT) and sitting in the break room or going to the garage for hours at a time while nobody questioned them. After being caught nothing was done and Jeff tells other workers if they're caught stealing time they'd be suspended and he'd push for termination. Funny thing is they both are still getting over time while every other dock worker struggles to make their 40. Great example of integrity if i say so myself.
Over here in Orlando the biggest anti Union Rat Omar Perez in the commission of wage theft was killing time at Home Depot browsing through some tile , when he dropped a bundle on his foot they had to relieve him so does Conway pay for work related injury or does Home Depot pay this after he sues themI just can't help but think this could've all been avoided if mr Perez was doing the right thing!
