We deserve better

Fellow Southern California UFV, UIV, ULA, ULB, ULX, UOR, USB, USD, UVC, now is the time to organize to combat favoritism, discrimination, abuse of power by supervisors, and punishment for insignificant things. It's time for a stress-free environment, to be treated humanely and not as a number. We need to communicate, educate and inform ourselves. We don't need to be in fear of fighting for our working rights. We deserve better treatment, respect, and dignity. Let’s organize to have a voice and stop this hostile work environment.

Beware of false information regarding the video you're going to watch at your base, it's pure anti-union propaganda. Conway is going to S.P.I.T (SPY, PROMISE, INTIMIDATE AND THREAT) If Conway said it's your rights to have or form a union, then why do they have to do one on one meetings regarding to questioning employees about their union right? Or perhaps, Conway is fishing. Why do they have to show you anti-union video? because Conway feels insecure and threaten that you getting educated on your labor rights. Conway is no different than Wal-Mart, Conway is trying to control your thoughts and put fear into the employees just like Wal-Mart. Remember the phrase on Wizard of Oz, never mind who is behind the curtain, just stay away from the curtain.

That is a good one . Here in dallas we are being educated.
Stay away from the lean people folks they are union busters.

My biggest grip with Conway is that they label us now, and I think it's a bunch of bullshit.
They call us disengage employees if we are pro-union, and if you're against the union, you're an engage employee for the company.
Bottom line here is the engage employee gets rewarded and the pro-union is reprimanded for chicken shit write up's.
I call this method of Conway, divide and conquer!
Make us go against each other.

I agree with all comments, Conway management come's to all the yards and S.P.I.T
And the CEO walking around pretending to be so concern for us employees.
I think it's to late for management to mend the abusive treatment from their management staff, we need to form a union now, so that history doesn't repeat it self.

its time and the union organizers are here to stay conway. And that video is just a waste of time. For all you drivers that have been waiting . they are finally here. dallas,tx conway drivers get ready for that video monday morning and dont get brain washed. dont listen to the lean people. wish are union busters.

That's right norcal driver, it's war time, we are tired of the abusive treatment, being treated like a step child and no fairness.
When they have meeting and ask us questions, we don't want to answer their question anymore because we have seen how those employees that have put their inputs, always seem to be fired on stupid technicality.
I think that Conway uses this method to weed out employees

that is true in dallas,tx. if you say something in the what they call communication meetings. you are not going make it. they mangement will cut you lose.

I am glad you guys are organizing and opening up on your forum.
I got a question, would we office clerk be able to fit with you? Would we be able to organize too?

Joe Nuno said...

Yes you can join them, it's better to get involve now and spell out your future contract, get the dock men's and the mechanics too to participate with the organize drive.
I suggest that you and others get in contact with your organizing leader at your domicile or contact a Teamsters local nearest you.

ups freight clerks are included with the drivers. just ask them.

Conway will tell you and show you anti-union videos saying they don't want the union. But, it's not ip to Conway to decide, it's up to us the employees to decide if we want to form a union among our self and heva the teamsters represent us at the bargaining table and negotiate for a more affordable health benefics and get a pension . Think about your future,be smart don't let corporate America steal our future and the future of our kids. Organizing it's our only choice against corporate greed.

Cool, thank all of you for the feedback, hopefully here in Santa Fe Springs they start rolling the snowball and have the courage to organize.

The movement seems to have all but disappeared in the south. I hope folks are just keeping quiet. Is it still on going out west?

You go office girl! I've got a girlfriend who is a clerk and now she's happy to be a member of the Teamsters.
She works at Pico Rivera UPS Frt and has a contract

Thank you Leslie, lately here at our office, they seem to be snooping around us office people, throwing the subject about the Teamsters.
Asking us, what's your point of view about the union?
And no one answers a word about it.
You could see management expression gets a little upset because they have no feedback.
I think silent is Golden! Lol

Just wanted to say good for you office girl. Its time to stand up to all the corporate crap.Silence is golden they don't need to know anything just do your job hope that the drivers get tired of the same crap and stand up for themselfs and make it to the next Organizing workshop!I can tell you that your life would be ten times better with contract. I worked at GI trucking and Estes came in and did a Corporate take over and things got really bad. They treated us like shit and made us pay for benifits took away our Pension and stopped paying overtime after forty hours for the citydrivers and stopped paying delay for the line drivers. I left after 20 years of service and being Loyal to that company, gave them the best years of my life and they did'nt care.I now work for ABF and have a Pension and i rolled over my 401k and have a Savings account with there Credit Union. The reason i have a savings account is because i no longer have to pay for my medical insurance and every year i get a cost of living raise(cola)and my annual raise negotiated thru my contract. So good luck to you and all Conway employees who will stand up to corporate Greed.and thank you Leslie.
