Just the Facts
“For those of you who are still against the union, know this...XPO offered to let us all go 100 hours negative on our PTO accumulation. Should we have to use that, AND pay it back, it means an entire year without a day off and / or 18 months before we could take a weeks vacation. Wow! At contract negotiations in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, Teamster business agents proposed a 2 week paid sick leave for all certified barns. The company flat out rejected this proposal and re proposed the 100 negative hours. After a short time, the company reconsidered their position and accepted the unions proposal, HOWEVER, they were smart enough to realize that accepting this proposal for union barns only, would only strengthen the union drive throughout the system. So they extended this policy company wide. So, for all you non union terminals, bend the knee and thank the Teamsters for getting you what the company would never have given you. Just the facts, sir.”
Amazing how Fed Ex, and UPS drivers are getting hazard pay and bonuses. Also warehouse workers , and basically all essential workers working in this environment, but XPO is talking pay cuts.. they don’t provide us with anything to protect ourselves or care about our safety. While they work from home we are exposing ourselves and our families, and can’t even get 8 hours. So fucked up
ReplyDeleteWhat happens in Laredo ? Asking for a friend
DeleteRemember as you are looking in your mirror as you turn in a customers yard your thankless efforts are making you a hero and changing this country.
ReplyDeleteAs much as $25,000 in hazard pay would be afforded over a period of time to those deemed essential, including employees in health care, drug stores, grocery stores, sanitation workers, truck drivers, transportation workers and all federal employees with frontline positions, such as Postal Service workers.
ReplyDeleteI don’t think that includes XPO drivers. XPO would give us popcorn, and hot dogs.
DeleteHahaha!!! and that's if your service center gets 30 days accident free.
ReplyDeleteHad a chance to meet Mike today. Man, what a PRESENCE.
ReplyDeleteHazard pay,are you kidding ,these stupid 🤥fucks can even get you basic😷 Ppe,when this is all over⚖️ congress needs to do a investigation of this company.
ReplyDeleteThis company has failed on all of us.
ReplyDeleteWhat Mike did you meet?
ReplyDeleteZ
ReplyDeleteOnly thing being handed out at our terminal is layoff notices.
ReplyDeleteThat’s what’s best for the company. This company isn’t worried about you..
DeleteAnd never will. A private corporation is all about the almighty dollar. First and foremost. Get what you can and get out.
DeleteUkc dockworkers are acting like d.o.t. offices checking your equipment when you enter ukc yard. An they don't knew shit about driving a 80,000 pound Vehicle for one second or the laws driving class A vehicle.Trying get you Written up for anything making it Seem that the drivers all are careless. The service center mgr Hides between trailer in the yard looking for someone going 11mph. Instead of thanking you hard work every night being away from your family Putted YOUR FAMIlY at Risk in these times...thanks again kettleman city supervisions and mgr.showing ur true colors and Support.
ReplyDeleteThat’s one of the many reasons why we need union representation to protect ourselves from ass holes trying to treat us like kids. Management will not respect us unless we go union we need to man up and stand up to this ass holes we’re doing the hard work risking our life every day and this punk asses hiding between trailers.
DeleteSteadily of Layoffs why arent we fix all the E tracks tractor
ReplyDeleteusm is going to layoff drivers, but won't let go of the part time worker at the dock.
ReplyDeleteI hear you guys and completely understand the way you all feel. What I don't understand is why you're not willing to do something about it. It's simple and there is no risk. It costs nothing and could revamp your working conditions. All you need to do is get enough guys in your terminal to stand up and shout...I'm not going to take this anymore. It's an anonymous process. No one knows you signed a union card and no one will ever see those cards. When you vote, it's a secret ballot and no one will ever know how you voted. There has never been a unanimous vote, so you can always tell management you voted no!!!You are legally protected for your union activities and when we have enough terminals on board...we can bring this company to it's knees.
ReplyDeleteThey pay the dock workers less per hour more profit for them, common can't you see the big picture?
ReplyDeleteNo hazard pay what is wrong with xpo don't they we can just stop working and collect then they will lose money we deserve more pay like all the other companies are paying their employees
ReplyDeleteWhere's the union guy's at now this is the time to get signatures at xpo log USB we want hazard pay like every one else's not to much to ask for
ReplyDeleteWe will see when xpo log USB start laying driver off they will cry you should of sign the card
ReplyDeleteWhy the hazard pay now ?? Xpo log
ReplyDeleteSo salary employees get 100-250 a week.
ReplyDeleteDistribution get 2 dlr raise a hour.
And we ltl get 500 -tax. Hhmmmm!?
Does not surprise me. 500 -tax for now and wait on the class action lil check, its all we can do.
By the way E Jordan brooks in santa fe springs is a customer that had somebody test positive. Its a heads up since management keeps asking us to keep it a secret.
March 13 to may 8 is 39 days of work $500= avg $12.60 a day.
ReplyDelete1 billion dollars of cash in the bank and that's the best they can do what the f
Deletexpo still ahead by eliminanting your incentive pay and now giving you 500 risk your life dollars,we still in the hole dummies.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to our raise this year?
ReplyDelete$500 taxed at 36% is about $320.....less than $10 bucks a day. XPO doesn’t give a damn about us. Layoffs all over but still using contractors. When is enough enough?
ReplyDeleteIf supervisors are getting $200 to $300 extra a wk they might make as much as a new hire dsr 🤭😂😂😂
ReplyDeleteAre employees who are laid off getting hazard pay?
ReplyDeleteYes
DeleteYes
DeleteProbably not ! XPO doesn’t care about the drivers they laid off. That’s why they laid them off
DeleteXpo paid 0 dollars in taxes in 2019 using a loop holes that big companies find when.employees get taxed more and no bonuses for there dsr's.while Management walks around with a shit eating Grin all day without a mask & acting like the low freight volume is Not a problem as they all get hazard pay every week for doing less for their hourly workers.
ReplyDeleteI heard ula shut down on friday because a dockworker there has covid-19. Is this true???
ReplyDeleteYou are correct they did shut down ULA F.A.C. for a few hours while they "Cleaned/disinfected" the "Whole yard" (YEAH RIGHT). As for who it is, it's a BIG SECRET. Service Center Manager Luis, ALL F.O.M's and F.O.S's won't say who it is or what shift.. But, as you know all XPO cares about is moving freight. Oh and don't forget here is your $500 (before taxes) for putting your life on the line... The dock/fac was only shut down for 5 hours. Every one was instructed to report back to work at 2300 hours. Of course people showed up because in their mind XPO is the best company... and their life is only worth $500.. So that's all the info everyone has because XPO, XPO ULA management is keeping everything hush hush... so remember don't say anything, especially that the Corona Virus is at a facility with over 200 employees.
ReplyDeleteYes it is
ReplyDeleteYes# they shut down around 7 and opened by 11pm. A text to all said that a dockworker tested positive and send everyone home.
ReplyDeleteNow they try to lie and say that maybe it was not true case. How can they open after 4 hours? Anybody? And when ask questions they do not want to answer.
Luis arevalo told employees that they need to take own pto or go negative if you feel sick or want to test for covid.
It is lie after lie with these managers and when the lawyers come in their resignation will be called for starting with luis. we dockworkers no longer feel safe but feel forced to go
The safety of All employees is very important. Hourly employees don't make as much money not being able to work a full Shift, management still gets the same paid every week working 6hrs or 8hrs . So protecting ourselves is more valuable to dockworkers/ drivers then to management. With 10 wks Volunteer leave for hourly employees handed out like candy Through xpo More layoffs are to be in the future in the company Unfortunately. The xpo meets are not talking about all the jobs losses in the USA and xpo,the Foreseeable future for us as employees at xpo. Just a $500 dollar taxed bonus coming next week that doesn't make up for the danger of Risk of Infection we face every day at work. Thank you All for All the hard work you do day in & day out. Protect you and your and family and love ones, stay safe every one.thank you for this blog.
ReplyDeleteBe very careful with voluntary leave. It sounds great, BUT...you are still an at will employee with NO GUARANTEE that your job will be waiting for you on July 6th. If the freight levels don't return, neither will you.
ReplyDeleteAlso employees on leave don’t get the $500 bonus
ReplyDeleteGreat Appreciation Xpo!!! Ooo an Keep the virtual reality meetings going they really work on saving money and time with 20+ Terminal filled with lies and talking about a virtual policy thats fate that changes by the second when you talk to any manager at Xpo throughout the hole company .And don't dare talk about the Corona virus They or reviewing all meets and when anyone asking a questions about time off and shut down Terminals and testing you will be marked as Scared lazy employee Who wants time off. All they want to you know at they had to the shut down terminals & cleaned and it safe to return to work after 4 hrs thats it...W.T.F No talking about the person's or updated conditions.4 Terminals in 4 days ULA,UOR,USB and UBY 3 Terminals in one day had to shut down had to sent everyone home that day.Spreading of the virus this company may face legal fines and lawsuits then lawyers and the Media picks up on this one.Its all Xpo's Fault by not doing the right Practices for months no clean supplies or p.p.e. "just keep working with Stare by all managers." But they did close all the bathrooms right away to protect Owner operators who pull alot of xpo's freight. The Actions is company is taking are a little & a little late.this would have never happened like this if safety was #1 at Xpo.
ReplyDeleteI've been watching the news Through the last 2 months And no videos of employees at grocery stores complaining of them not being clean or safe.
ReplyDeleteI have seen plenty of XPO employees reporting on the news of their facilities not being clean and safe Now which one cleaner.🤔🤔🤔🤔 mangers at xpo tell big lies to all they employees to make you feels safe.BTW if You're on light duty at xpo you just Became a corona virus cleaning expert now.
The last 3 months I've been watch the news and not one Grocery store Employee has complained about cleanliness and safety.I have seen on the news xpo Employees complaining At multiple XPO terminals About cleanliness and safety The managers at XPO are lying to all of us Their only reacting to the news not for our safety. They say our facilities are cleaner & Safer than grocery stores I think not.
ReplyDeleteUlx let USB KNOW what you guy's are getting from the union it could spark up the fire at USB to get the union in it's what we probably need
ReplyDeleteGet this: management’s all numbers oriented. They don’t care about your mental/spiritual level. Whilst I continue to state that a union is far from Nirvana, it’s still likely the best way to better treatment.
ReplyDeleteSO MANY PEOPLE GOT screwed using
ReplyDelete100 hrs of PTO xpo let borrow why even offer it now they them where they want them work no time off or get a point because u borrow PTO now u negative
Ozzy and ramsy in the santa fe springs terminal do not respect senority. And they take lunch and drinks in exchange for better runs and easier work. This is the reason you guys ramsy and ozzy do not move up! Guys years after you became fom before you two. Keep it up it will catch up with you two. We need to be represented at ula period
ReplyDeleteWith the lousy and stingy accrual rate, they may be a long time climbing out.
DeleteXKC Kansas City filed their petition for Teamster representation on Friday morning. KC and Newburgh, NY will be the first to join the family this year. Who's next?
ReplyDeleteCincinnati Ohio xcn did as well
ReplyDeleteDefund dispatch
ReplyDeleteWith a back logged trailers in the whole system and The customers we hall for haven't received their freight for 2 weeks we only hire dockworkers that hell is going on here. This company's turning into a shit show.
ReplyDeleteLike the news on Corona virus xpo changes the ways it effects its employees miss led information every day with no plans on making the jobs of all employees any better or safer.Xpo Loves the idea of profit over safety of there employees Truly evil with no heart. Will mark you, replace you and remove if you stand in the way.no future without a union to support voice's is dangerous for All hourly workers. Kansas City & San Bernardino center service have the power in number of employees to start the Positive change.
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong with USB we need the union in now can't you guy's see that they are working us like animals because they can get the union in now they don't care . At USB WE DON'T HAVE TO WEAR A MASK BECAUSE THEY DON'T CARE WHO GETS SICK
ReplyDeleteWhen is Kansas city voting?
