XPO Logistics Workers Near Philadelphia Choose Teamster Representation
Drivers at XPO Logistics in suburban Philadelphia voted for Teamster representation today, propelling a nationwide campaign where XPO workers are standing together and forming their union to win fairness and respect on the job. The vote was 37 to 13.
The 52 drivers at the former Con-way Freight join workers in Miami; Laredo, Texas; Vernon, Calif.; Aurora, Ill.; and in North Haven, Conn. who have already voted for Teamster representation.
"Three victories at XPO in less than a month (Aurora, North Haven and King of Prussia) show that the workers are building momentum in their quest for fairness, strength and a real voice at one of the world's largest transportation companies," said Tyson Johnson, Director of the Teamsters Freight Division. "We will continue to stand with XPO workers across the country who demand positive change."
"Despite the company sending in its high-priced union busters, the workers stood strong, boldly and united in their fight for a better future," said Michael Bonaduce, President of Teamsters Local 384 in Norristown, Pa. "Now, the fight for a strong contract begins."
"This is a great day for us and we urge our co-workers across the country to stand bravely to win dignity, respect and fairness by banding together," said Bill Strouse, a road driver and 23-year employee. "We need to have a voice on the job so that management will listen to our concerns."Click to read more

ReplyDeleteWE kicked your Ass Terren Becker. Head back west and plan on spending alot of the sailboat the ss blood Money.I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for another call from xPO because your performance was so terrible in Philadelphia. You underestimated your opponent and quiet frankly your not really good at what you do. You wont see another dime of xpo's money even management laughed at your efforts.
ReplyDeleteBye bye Terrin Becker. We will miss you at xph such a convincing performance. Where do you think you lost it? Was it the first lie or was it the second ? Even senior management laughed at your efforts. You really should consider another line of work. Frankly your not really good at what you do. No wonder Eric left you to run the family business.
ReplyDeleteOh my, what a defeated little man you are.
WE kicked your Ass Terren Becker. Head back west and plan on spending alot of the sailboat the ss blood Money.I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for another call from xPO because your performance was so terrible in Philadelphia. ReplyDeletePHILADELPHIA CONGRATULATIONS.PHILADELPHIA THANK YOU FOR SETTING THE STAGE FOR US TO DO THE SAME THING YOU DID.THERE IS GOING TO BE A STORM AT OUR TERMINAL THAT NO PUNK UNION BUSTER OR MANAGER CAN STOP!!!!WERE GOING TO UNIFY THE WHOLE EAST REGION ONE TERMINAL AT TIME!!!!#OPERATION LOCKDOWN!!!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah ... and to the company who cares so deeply about and is conserned about the ailments of SOME teamsters pension funds. What ever happened to are pension that was so well funded at the time you pulled it from us????
ReplyDeleteTerren we went into this campaign with near 70% signed cards and ended up with 75 % of the vote. We lost nothing and gained people in the end after your union busting tactics. Your in affective. You gained let me see....0 .... that's ZERO support. All we had to do is sit back and watch you fail ! You when your less than honest people see that. We presented the facts and let the voters decide who was leading them astray.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you go to school ? Who raised you with such vile hate for working men and women rights ?
To all employees considering moving forward with organizing their locations go for it ,remain vigilant in your efforts and you will win ! We did it at Xph and you will find out what kind of people you work for in the process.
ReplyDeleteWe need to somehow organize a petition regarding the on board camera, con/xpo is trying to use it to target drivers records to many camera incidents to dirty our records that way they can fire people they deem trouble makers. They are giving points now for camera incidents. We all know how dangerous that camera can be how many times have we blown red lights just so we don't trigger the camera or how we take our eyes of the road to see if we triggered the camera, think how dangerous it is when a new driver taking eye off of what he or she is doing to look at the camera.
ReplyDeleteGood point!!!!
DeleteJust one of many issues that will be addressed
ReplyDeleteAnd those are the ones that will cry the loudest when the company starts taking away what little we have left, benefits, pto days, realistic and industry equal pay raises. We at XPH lost interest in that kind of treatment a long time ago,i should think that others would have also, what are you waiting for??????
ReplyDeleteAnyone that is scared just take xau as a example since we voted union in regional Manger fired FOM fired and now today TM fired just was walked out the door
ReplyDeleteThis just shows the power you have if you stand up for what is right
Did the TM deserve to be fired?
DeleteNo he was a good worker
DeleteXPH Philly manager GG walked out the door today
ReplyDeleteHe walked out voluntarily? Or he was walked out by the company?
DeleteI think they just took extended time off til everything coold down and hope the union goes away
DeleteDrivecam in company vehicle being misused...?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.thelaw.com/threads/drivecam-in-company-vehicle-being-misused.50068/
drive cam is just a tool to get rid of drivers management don't like .all these stupid ideas are being sold by drive cam now Lytx
lytx using fuel efficiency and a low percentage of unsafe drivers to make money for themselves and corporate crooks off the back or others.
Come on Atlanta Region we got this.....It's time we put favoritism out the door. NAT & NNC let's DO THIS ONE THING FOR US, OUR FAMILIES, & OUR RETIREMENT. LET'S GET 2017 GOING ON A POSITIVE NOTE.
ReplyDeleteThats right do it,do it now before it's too late, you have support all over the system so be brave and
DeleteBE FEARLESS!!!!
Are they taking pto time away? I herd rumors there trying to cut that down as well
ReplyDeleteTheir not trying they want to cut pto time. But right now there holding off because they don't want people to unite. But just wait till people start backing away from the union. They'll cut the pto to 3 week's max they'll be only be giving .5% annual raises (only if the location meets their quota)and have people work 30 hour's. That's their plan. But if people want to trust them .well then just do the same when it was Conway.wait and see.
DeleteListen boys who knows what xpo will do the only way to save what you have and fight for more is the uinon it's your only chance stop the bleeding befor it's too late
ReplyDeletePower is not given its taken now stand up and take it
grant was fired
ReplyDeletegreat news we need USB to go
ReplyDeleteLET'S GO GEORGIA,YOUR REGIONAL MGR IS SWEATING BULLETS TRYING TO KEEP US DSR'S QUIET & KEEP THE NUMBERS UP...... ONLY TIME WILL TELL IF HE CAN KEEP THIS PACE UP. THERE'S NO GOOD OLE BOY SYSTEM ANYMORE...YOU HAVE TO PROVE YOURSELF AND HAVE PLENTY OF FOS, FOM'S & MGRS TO GET THE SHAFT INSTEAD OF THEM.
ReplyDeleteWhat's with delaying us picking our vacation time, feels like another screwing on its way,get your lube ready boys!!!
ReplyDeleteI said earlier I think there trying to take some pto time away
Deleteif they take pto away Im done.already lined up my next job. won't think twice
Deletemilwaukee is having a private vote tomorrow and next week. largest outbound terminal in the country. Get your popcorn ready
DeleteWhat's the private vote about?
DeleteWho is in for union rep
Deleteand daily strikes
DeleteThey are going to screw us hard on vacation!
ReplyDeleteGet ready to be obsolete unless you have some kind of protection or another skill. Anyone recognize a certain company named in the article?
ReplyDeleteUber aims to ultimately transform the competitive and fragmented $700 billion-a-year trucking industry, which is notorious for low margins. The company is challenging a host of established players, ranging from publicly traded companies, such as third-party logistics firms C.H. Robinson and XPO Logistics, to countless mom-and-pop trucking businesses.
I hate to go before we get a union bid, but this vacation thing has me thinking I should go elsewhere. And I've asked before: Is our duly elected president union-friendly?
ReplyDeleteJust hold on. Don't jump ship yet. Get your self and your co workers some representation and make the workers case even stronger. Give being part of a union a chance. The more united we are the stronger we are. If more location organise the more bargaining power we have against xpo. But we need more of you to start signing union card's and petition for the Union.
DeleteEarl quit in west Chester?
ReplyDeleteWHO WILL HAVE THE BALLS TO STEP UP NEXT!
ReplyDeleteWhat's Milwaukee voting for?
ReplyDeleteearl did quit -he was afraid of the union @ xwc
ReplyDeleteReally, I can't believe pearl the Earl is gone. Dropping like flies around this company
ReplyDeleteYou people don't what electing trump is going to do to the working mans rights, were not going to have any because he's going to appoint federal judges that are pro corporate anti labor. Look at managment since the election they are not afraid anymore
ReplyDeletePeople simply don't want to work for this company.. the leadership of this company is awful! There just continueing the Conway bullshit. They treat you like shit there's favoritism and they just want to take more and more and want you to work harder. There's a reason why drivers and dock workers and even management wanting to leave.. this company is just fucked up right now and it all starts at the top!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right, however it all depends on your terminal managers mentality if he's a asshole and he utilizes authority to his advantage that's a problem.keep in mind if your terminal chooses to elect union represention there a good chance you're terminal manager we'll be fired especially if there's been complaints about him.terminal managers are expendable just like drivers.
DeleteWell at XPN we definitely need a management replacement.. he is one of the most disrespectful managers I've ever have come across. No one in the building like's him Drivers, dockworkers CSR's , FOS's, how someone that is so disliked by everyone can be in charge is unreal we need management replacement at XPN!!!
DeleteJust wondering. If you have made complains,What has HR done about it? If they've done nothing shouldn't they be fired too? They tell us there's an open door policy but it just seem's to be used to intimidate the workers. So at this point it's not just All level's of Management that need's replacing also HR need's some cleaning.
DeleteBUT WE KNOW THAT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. THE GOOD OL BOY SYSTEM IS STILL IN FULL STRENGTH HERE AT CON-WAY.
xpn vote for union and problen solv.
ReplyDeleteNothing will change at Xpn till all the top city drivers who do what they want retire and all the rest of the drivers develope a personality and grow a set.
ReplyDeleteWhere is XPN?
DeleteCalled Pontiac but serves Suburbs north of Detroit mi.
DeleteLots of people complain from Xpn but nobody has the nerve to do anything, when the terminal manager lets all the top city drivers run the prison nothing going to change, and if you call that slug at Human Resources in Ann Arbor he just gives you same old con-job playbook excuses. Its time you newbies and mid level drivers step-up what are you scared of? Its only going to get worse the days of ccx scared tactics are gone you have the law on your side, are you scared they going to fire you let them try, remember you are in a career that is in demand they need you more than you know start organizing now and make the change for the better.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the vacations rumors going around? Is something happening or going to
ReplyDeleteThey are moving forward with cutting it to all unless we stop them by unionizing
DeleteMilwaukee private union vote this week will conclude Wednesday with our battle plan moving forward whether to sign cards/yes for represenation. Someone mentioned a work stoppage or strike but that seems severe
ReplyDeleteMilwaukee new TM started last week. Seems like a descent person
ReplyDeleteGood t.m. Bad t.m. It doesn't matter it's the top pricks that are the root of most of the problems.
DeletePrivate vote = me personally texting 100+ drivers for y or n to get an estimate unless someone has an easier way?
ReplyDeleteWhatever way works I hope you get enough yes votes we support you
DeleteWhat ways did Philly and aurora do to spread the word?
DeleteBrad Jacobs is all about the $$$. What's going to happen when this last quarter of the year don't bring in $$$ he projected? Mr Jacobs made a decision early on to get rid of some key sales reps which resulted on big customers leaving due to him increasing the prices to make up for that decision. People you have to realize that when big manages can't bring that profit in what do you think will happen to them? In the end what will happen to us? Manages can't stand up for long with the demands of Mr Jacobs. ..There will always be changes in management just like they will continue to make the changes with us....cutting out most of our PTO, low raises to NO raises just like they do our beloved CSR'S. Mr Jacobs is all about the $$$$$$.
ReplyDeleteThings are not going to be good once trump and pence and the repuplican party starts to change the nlrb by appointing anti worker judges and staff it with corporate personal you don't have much time maybe two months before the change takes place.
ReplyDeleteNow is the time!
ReplyDeletemilwaukee union vote Talley.. 23 yes, 10 no as of today
ReplyDeleteDid Milwaukee vote in the Union for Representation and Won?
Deletewhen vote?
DeleteTrump is more anti corporations than anti workers.. don't drink that dnc Kool aid
ReplyDeleteWe shouldn't bring politics into our cause. We all have a common goal. To turn this company into a union company, and to make our lives better. They can't fight the will of the people if we get the votes there's nothing they can do! It sounds like Milwaukee has the votes you guys should move forward with going union!
DeleteThen u must be drinking the rnc kook aid, you really think this billionaire is going to do anything for the working man. Remember under bush Conway took five percent from our pay under obama we've had three pay raises.
DeleteIt's all political, don't you people see that?republicans want to get rid of unions, republicans are not for the working man. They are for right to work which really means right to work for less
DeleteMilWaukee 34yes-19no. How many or percentage would we need? There are 190 drivers. Teamsters were out handing brochures today
DeleteA simple majority plus one.
Delete100 vote you need 51 yes
190 vote you need 146 yes and so on,just do it and BE FEARLESS!!!!
Trump was a Democrat his whole life up until he ran for president. He also supports unions. He is also good friends with the Clintons he's donated millions to there foundation. They attended his wedding, and he is not pursuing any charges against her. These are facts if you do the research, and don't rely on the media. Not that any of this matters because if we get more yes votes than no votes there nothing anyone can do about it. They can fight it but at the end of the day a win is a win.
DeleteBig corporations support Trump. So do other special interests. Why would he be against?
DeleteIf it's 50%+1 then if you have 190, you would need 96 yes votes not 146 like the previous comment.
DeleteYes 96 will be 50% +1 out of 190,but you need to make sure you guys win by a bigger margin to stop company from filing bogus charges against union supporters intimidating non union supporter employees we all know those are false accusations from the company wasting money on high price lawyers just to delay the process to bargain in good faith
Deletemilwaukee new TM starting soon, we were told he's good at managing manpower. Help
ReplyDeleteI don't know about that
DeleteSupervisors told us to ignore the union reps outside here in Chicago. And do not stop to talk unless it's on our lunch breaks otherwise it's stealing time
ReplyDeleteIF YOU HAVE THE BALLS YOU CAN REACH OUT TO YOUR LOCAL N.L.R.B.
Delete"MilWaukee 34yes-19no. How many or percentage would we need? There are 190 drivers. Teamsters were out handing brochures today"
ReplyDeleteWith 190 the Teamsters will want 125 before you petition as a minimum.
If it's safe to say, has Milwaukee gone to a vote? When and what happened? And we absolutely should never draw the union lines along party lines!
ReplyDeleteIt is illegal for Supervisors or Management to tell you that you can't speak to the Union Rep's and they know this! F***K'em It's illegal!!
ReplyDeleteMilwaukee i don't believe you.UNION BUSTERS??
ReplyDeleteno just a driver
Delete39yes 29no.. how would we go about with a real vote? I feel like management will get rid of me per open door policy.. Ps I'm transferring so I'm just trying to help out here now before I leave
DeleteYou won't be around long enough to see a vote, that would take a few months to get I assume
Deletebut start now. it could snowball
DeleteYeah don't waste your time
Deleteand they could block your transfer if you rub the wrong people I'm sure
DeleteJust do it, this in not Con-way anymore. We have been bought by an investor who's past has proven what he will do in the future. He is not building a sub stainable company with us in his interest. We MUST protect what we have before we lose it. Corporate greed has no limits. This is all about standing your ground and demanding acknowledgement for your professionalism as a driver. What is the option? Just stand by and wait for them to share the wealth? If that what your waiting for I think your being foolish. This is not about us vs them . It about saying we work hard and we expect to gain from the fruits of are labor. Con-way did not see fit over the last 10yrs to do so and this NON COMUNICATOR Jcaobs is going either. Have respect for yourself and vote yes
ReplyDeleteLove yourself, they're not messing only with U ,,,They're messing with your future and Ur family , Vote UNION Yes !!!!!!#
