We the mechanics of the Hayward shop in California (UOS)are asking the Union to represent us.Because we want to make a difference in our futures as well as for others who are willing to join our fight to set a better standard of living. For all the workers. Please be advised that I.A.M. & A.W. Machinists Automotive Trades Local Lodge No. 1101, District Lodge No. 190 of Northern California, represents the majority of your employees who perform work in the Con-Way Freight Maintenance Department at the Hayward facility located at 2200 Claremont Court Hayward, CA. 94545. If necessary, we are prepared to agree to an independent, impartial third party check of the authorization petition from your employees to prove our majority status. We are requesting immediate negotiations to consummate a collective bargaining agreement covering wages, benefits, hours and working conditions for and on behalf of the employees that we represent. We believe this process will be the least disruptive for the Company and your employees and the best way to keep attorney fees and other costs to a minimum. In accordance with Federal Law, we are requesting that you maintain a “status quo” environment with the affected employees. Absolutely no reprisals may be taken against them, nor may you or any representative of the Company threaten, coerce, or interrogate any employee or interfere with their Union activities. http://www.nlrb.gov/case/32-RC-154522 |

Barak obama propose to congress to paid overtime after 8 hrs or after 40 nationwide, can anybory expling somthing about this.
ReplyDeleteThere is a proposal to change current overtime law. In the likely event it passes, the language is so iron clad that it is NOT likely to be undone.
DeleteIt is also for salaried personnel making less than a certain amount of money.
DeleteHey colorado careful with this rat HECTOR DIAZ cause anything you said to him. He change averything against you
ReplyDeleteThe $2 raise has done nothing for me! I stand to lose $ 7,000 less than last year. Due to lost hours! this is Conway tricking us again so they make more money and take more from us. So when will we do something about this?
ReplyDeleteDon't forget about your shitty healthcare plan, how much more is that also taking out of your pocket. Our H.R. Stooge says its a good plan ,use it and find out

SOMEONE NEEDS TO GET ROSY A PLANE TICKET SO SHE CAN TAKE ONE FOR THE TEAM.....ROSY HAS THE COURAGE TO USE HER SKILLS TO INTERVENE. ....GO ROSY TO ANN ARBOR & MAKE US PROUD GIRL.
ReplyDeleteUNION 2015. ....
Who's rosey??
DeleteI WONDER WHY THEY HAVE HIRED SO MANY FAMILY MEMBERS AT COMWAY IN LAREDO TX FOR EXAMPLE ROSY URA WORKS THERE ALSO HER SISTER WORKS THERE PLUS HER SISTER INLAW WORKS THERE AND FINALLY HER HUSBAND ALEJANDRO URA AS A DRS.ALSO LATELY THEY HAVE HIRED MORE FAMILY MEMBERS OF OTHER DSRS I THINK HIRING SO MANY FAMILY MEMBER CAN CAUSE SOME TYPE OF CONFLICT OF INTREST.
ReplyDeleteIf you people dont see what CONWAY has done then no wonder conway will always get over on you.But ill tell you what Conway is doing. Its called cause and effect by causing Employee conflict so what's the effect its mistrust among the workers. That system is to break up unity among people.and what's more easier to conquer than people who are dived.CONWAY loves employees who are easy to conquer.
DeleteMaybe they all like to drink blue cool-aide
ReplyDeleteABOUT THAT DRIVER ALEJANDRO URA HE USED TO ALWAYS BRING FREIGHT BACK AND COMPLAINED ABOUT ROUTES SO WHAT DISPATCHED DID NOW THEY ARE GIVING HIM EASY ROUTES LIKE ONE STOP ROUTES ALSO HE TAKES MORE THAN 1/2 HOUR LUNCH HE STAYS WITH HIS WIFE IN THE LUNCH BREAK EATING AND TALKING FOR MORE THAN 1/2 HALF AN HOUR AND WHEN HES ASK TO STAY FOR THE OUTBOUND HE REFUSED AND JUST GO HOME I FO NOT THINK IS FAIR TO LET HIM DO WHATEVER HE WANTS
ReplyDeleteLike always here in LAREDO TEXAS is managment fall.is not true TED GARCIA????
ReplyDeleteAnyway we have to give thanks to TED GARCIA cause thanks to a bad managment like him. We do all this and much more to come including the penalty letter hi has to posted in are terminal from NLRB ABOUT THE LIES hi said in the video.
ReplyDeleteMr. Obama may have eighteen months left in office. Upon his exit, current pro-union legislation is likely to be UNDONE. The time to petition is NOW!

ReplyDeleteThe IAM Western Territory racked up several organizing victories in the last week of May, bringing in a total of 329 new members and raising the territory’s organizing success rate to 89 percent.
ReplyDeleteWestern Territory General Vice President Gary Allen expressed his great appreciation for the hard work and activity underway in the territory.
“The corporate anti-worker agenda stands to decimate the working class at every turn,” said Allen. “I commend our leadership throughout the territory for investing in people through our GPS activist training program that helps working families stand up, fight back, and have a voice in their futures and their livelihoods.”
Among the wins are 224 workers at Cadence Aerospace-Giddens who voted to join Seattle District 751. Workers at the company’s two Everett, WA plants produce precision machined aerospace components, subassemblies and kits, and do sheet-metal forming.
District 160 welcomed new members at Western Pneumatic Tube in Kirkland, WA who voted unanimously for IAM representation.
On May 27, the L3 unit at Moffett Field in San Jose, CA voted overwhelming to join IAM District 725. The workers ignored visits by Corporate HR and multiple company letters to their homes and sent a strong message to L3 that they want the IAM and they will not accept business as usual.
“We are very excited for Local 2228, this is their first organizing victory in more than 10 years and the first of more to come,” said District 725 Directing Business Representative Larry Olinger.
IAM Local 845 gained a recognition agreement for the AOC group at Creech Air Force Base in Las Vegas. The unit is a support group for Battlespace and includes Quality Control, Production Control, and Supply Technicians.
IAM District 10, Local 873 at John Deere Horicon Works in Wisconsin ratified a new labor agreement recently that provides benefits for both the union and the company.
ReplyDelete"The agreement included substantial wage increases, lump sum payments, additional vacation time and increased 401(k) benefits for full time employees," said Business Representative Benito Elizondo. "In addtion to the full time benefits, the supplemental / associate employees received vacation, recall rights and the same attendance program as the full time workers. The supplemental / associate employees now have rights to the grievance procedure and just cause for discharge."
In addtion to the contractual agreement, John Deere has comitted to close a non-union faciltiy in Janesville, WI and move that work to the Horicon plant. The Company put in writing that they would invest approximately 40 million dollars in renovations and new facilities at the John Deere Horicon Works.
IAM Mechanics Local 701 in Carol Stream, IL brought 12 new members into the IAM by winning an organizing drive at McGrath Downtown Auto in Chicago, IL.
ReplyDelete"Our new members fought off attempts by the company and an anti-union firm that tried to influence the outcome of the election. I'm very proud of them," said Mike Wendling, Organizer for Mechanics Local 701. "They want respect in the workplace, the benefits of the Mechanics Local 701 Standard Automotive agreement, the Local 701 pension, the opportunity to train and advance along with the wages and benefits they deserve."
Any update on the results?
ReplyDeleteNo vote.it was withdrew
DeleteThe mechanic's felt sorry for the UOS supervisor because he kept going around telling everyone to vote no and if the union won he was going to get fired ....
DeleteSeen that before and they will be sorry.
ReplyDeleteNOW LET SEE, HOW LONG THESE BRAVE MEN WILL LAST AT A WORKPLACE, FOR TRYING TO ORGANIZE AND THEN BACKING OUT AND BELIEVING IN ThE COMPANY,THEY WILL ALL BE FIRED AND REPLACED IN LESS THAN ONE YEAR. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL.
ReplyDeleteAnyone have any balls in the Chicago area?
