To All The ULA Dock Workers Who Are Still In Doubt .

This is for those dock workers at ULA that are in doubt of what a union contract could possibly bring to you. What has Conway promised you? What have they said about the raise they promised the drivers? They haven't said anything but "there maybe a slight raise for the dock workers in the future. Well look at what the UPS Freight dock workers make with a contract! They do the EXACT same job you do and they have better benefits. If you think the company really cares about you think again. They care about no one but the stock holders and will get rid of you in a heart beat with out a contract.

The Old UPSF contract from April 7,2008 to April 31, 2013

 And the New contract from August 1, 2013 to July 31, 2018

  1. Conway has and is in the process of replacing all drivers working the dock with dock workers....Why??? Because Conway pays dock workers $13-14 an hour. So us drivers will drive in the city for 5-6 he's a day and get sent home and the part time dock workers will work the dock in our place for half of what we get paid. So for the dock worker its 13 an hour...thats lose. For the driver its 35-40 hrs a week....thats lose also....for Conway and its executives its record profits and bigger bonuses....thats win win. Wake up everyone. Ups freight is a shining example of a solid union company. We can have what they have if everyone understands this and gets onboard! Vote union yes!

  2. Here is the defenition of a dictatorship. absolute, imperius or overbearing power or control.

    This is how NMF is run.

    Nicole= Hitler
    Rick= joseph goebbels
    cary= heinrich himmler
    jc= wilhelm keitel
    gladis= karl doenitz

    look up these names and their positions and you can see the similarities. it mirrors nmf infrastructure to an exact.even though im a fairly new employee i can tell these people dont care about us. dont mistake these words for a racism finger pointing but a pure and sound dictatorship. ive watched how drivers are treated at this place and it makes me angry for them. the best thing to do around this place is shut up and get with the proram. i never considered a union but thanks to this style of management its not a hard decision anymore for those guys.

  3. None of this matters we as a society has changed for the worse and have no different mindset as those of the corporate greedy pigs. Its human nature. Suck it up and accept we are the bottom feeders and corporate is the dominate race. Lay down and die with pride its all you got. We have missed the chance to enhance our families security and well being. Our children will reap what we sew. HAVE ACCEPTED DEFEAT HERE AT CONWAY FOR ALL OTHERS TO FOLLOW!!!!

  6. Conway's treatment of its dockworkers is a disgrace ! Overtime after 50 hours? I can't even get 40 in! I was kicked off the dock last night after 7 hours do to not having enough handhelds.... I'm a full time employee yet sent home so a temp could use my hand-held! No offense to temps but does seniority mean nothing here?

  13. Didnt our CEO Greg come from YRC?

  14. Come on guys except defeat. I am a driver with Conway and see too much division between employees. And for a lot of the dock workers there just glad that they have a job and don't have to worry about a piss test. For the hard working family man we are screwed. About to say fuck this company and move on because its not worth busting your ass and getting shit on while corporate feeds off our misery. Either everyone gets together in each state or give up on the union representing. By organizing talks with each terminal separately doesn't get everyone on the same page and causes fear with drivers of no assurance who is all in and wont back out day of voting. Give in or get out theres no career at Conway its just about how much they can treat you with communism mentality.

  15. I think Greg came from the band Village People. His hair is a dead give away. Chaps with the ass cut out. Not YRC he was singing YMCA!!!!!

  20. More than half of employees will no longer be working for conway if it does not pass, I'd give it 2 to e years. So all you guys that are scared to vote yes get ready. the people who don't want it are the people who don't do shit. Lean team is quick to criticize others while they sit around doing nothing for 2 hours just to start shift crying all damn day. Stfu already you cry to damn much.

  24. This goes to the ON Trac driver who posted about goin union.Can you tell us how things changed for you guys after becoming a TEAMSTER and how does it feel to have a contract.(a contract that will not change when ever the company feels like they need bigger bonuses for the ceo , president or they feel like buying a racing truck or race car).All i noticed at Con-way is a bunch pleople that are brain washed about how conway cares about there drivers and most of the drivers who belive that are the ones who been there 15 or more years or mayb they just like being sheep and have no idea of how they've hurt this industry by not standing up for people rights.So im asking the new generation of transportaion workers lets get some balls and VOTE YES FOR THE UNION.WE THE WORKING PEOPLE ARE WHO MAKES THIS COUNTRY GREAT.COME ON PEOPLE ITS TIME FOR CHANGE.STAND UP AND VOTE ,VOTE YES.

    1. To your question about the change after the contract, yes big change .Instant respect because Ontrac has to abide by a set of rules that was not theirs. The grievance process alone is priceless.They were not giving us any vacation , no funeral leave, at will employees who were told if you don't like it quit.Now we have 20 days vacation, 3 floaters, a week six pay, teamster medical and job security.A structure that was never there , binding policies and procedures that are backed by the union.I can call my rep. any time and he is there. It's a hard pill to swallow for the company but it is what it is.

    2. Vote yes for you and your families because your in the ish and no turning back.No matter what those consultants say it's bs.You always have the ball in your court all the way to saying yes or no on the contract.It is what all you drivers agree on . Stay strong guys!! Ontrac shop steward!!

  25. I have only been with Conway for a few of years,but what a horrible place to work. UWY is a joke!! We are poorly mismanaged and can't seem to find people that want to work here? Why you ask, because of the manager and his joke of a supervisor crew. Nothing is going to change unless we make it happen!! 2nd star is integrity yet we have NONE! We need change now mr. Lehmkuhl.

  28. What happens when it slows down do the drivers do the work of the dock workers ?? Will the drivers still be able to work the dock ?? Or is the union only concerned on collecting dues from both parties involved.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I have posted this before.Im a mechanic and we had a meeting with the vice president of maintenance .According to him mechanics. Arent that important to con-way and that con-way isnt worried about mechanics because where payed a fair wage and that the company is spending to much on driver and that we shouldnt expect any changes.so i told him we are way bellow the market. His respond was so what.So its obvious that we need to bring the UNION into the shops too.FIND YOUR LOCAL AUTO MOTIVE UNION REP AND START YOUR PETION TO VOTE.WE NEED TO STAND TOGETHER JUST LIKE TBE DRIVERS AND VOTE YES FOR A BETTER NEW WAY OF EMPLOYMENT.LETS GET THE UNION.
