HAHAHA.Ok this is getting pathetic..This here is just becoming a big ass fiasco.I warned you all that there was a restructuring happening and some of you just kept going along with the Companies keep the dream alive..By the way I do blame this on anyone thats had more than 10 years at Conway.I had posted before for all you old timer to stand up and help out the new Generation of workers ,I asked you to stand up and make standar so the new Generation had something to look for in their futures .But NOOOO YOU WERE ALL TO GREEDY TO HELP OUT.Well now your getting a taste of your medicine.and it doesn't feel good right.To not know what your future holds after investing so much time on a company that you guys let it get out of control.We the new Generation of workers deal with the stress of never knowing if will be able to provide for our families,But you old timer didn't even give it a second thought.But now your worried.,Well the thing is that yes we are screwed the way we stand.But there is a solution.YES THIS IS ANOTHER WARNING..IF you all want to have a chance of surviving this specially you old timers.WE HAVE A LIMITED AMOUNT OF TIME TO UNITE AND ASK FOR REPRESENTATION.BUT WE ONLY HAVE ABOUT 7months before our chance is taken away from US.Either wise most of you can kiss all you worked for good BYE.The thing is that most of you think of the union as a battle against the corporations.BUT IT'S NOT A BATTLE AGAINST THE COMPANIES.THE UNION SERVES OF AWAY FOR US TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE EQUAL LEVERAGE IN OUR FUTURES.IT'S NOT ABOUT FIGHTING WITH THE COMPANY IT'S ABOUT WORKING TOGETHER WITH THE COMPANY.WORKING TOGETHER IS WHAT MAKES A COMPANY GREAT AND PROFITABLE.BUT WHEN YOU LET ONE SIDE GO UNCHECKED WITHOUT REPERCUSSION THIS HAPPENS.THE LITTLE PEOPLE LOOSE.ONE THING THO I'M NOT SAYING THAT EVERYONE IS GOING TO BE SAVED BUT AT LEAST EVERYONE WILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO SURVIVE.SO IT'S UP TO US TO DO SOMETHING FOR OUR SELVES THIS TIME.EITHER WISE EVERYONE PLEASE JUST ROLL OVER AND TAKE WHAT EVER COMES.THE ONLY GUARANTEE IS UP TO US AS A WHOLE.AND LIKE I WARNED YOU ALL,WE HAVE A LIMITED AMOUNT OF TIME.THE XPO ANALYST AND ADVISORS WILL BE SHOWING UP IN LOCATIONS BY NOVEMBER.DO YOU ALL WANT TO LET THEM MAKE THE FULL DECISIONS ON WHAT OUR FUTURE SHOULD BE?WELL PEOPLE THINK ABOUT IT.SPECIALLY ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE 10years or more.YOU ALL HAVE THE CHOICE TO BE PARTNERS WITH XPO OR YOU ALL CAN JUST BE ANOTHER CHEAP LABOURER?....BY THE WAY ,ANY UNION WHICH YOU CHOOSE WILL DO A CONTRACT THAT WILL HELP OUT THE EMPLOYER AND THE EMPLOYEES.

Most of senior drivers are pro Union because we worked in the industry when it was all organized and know its advantages and know many who are retired teamsters that we worked with but many our uninformed about unions here at Conway /XPO and only listen to company arguments about unions go to your local hall and sit in on a meeting a lot of information there about work laws and family leave act and you'll seen how the company is screwing you and doesn't have your best interest in mind bending the laws and your rights and most importantly your safety as well safety at Conway was a joke

XBO'S CEO Brad Jacobs all he wanted was Menlo. Like he said in his interview on Bloomberg TV the time is right the stars aligned so he got the everything cheap. He's going to give LTL a shot if it doesn't work out he got what he wanted Menlo so they will sell off the LTL and Truck load and get they're money back. He's playing with everyone's future? PEOPLE wake the fuck up organizing is the only way to protect our future if not we will be like CF history.

Worker advocates turn sights on warehouse industry in Southern California

In what could be the beginning of a larger effort to focus on working conditions and eventually organize the warehouse sector of the transportation industry, workers at a warehouse near the Port of Los Angeles walked off their jobs Tuesday, attracting the support of the Teamsters union.

The job action at California Cartage Company was sponsored by the Warehouse Worker Resource Center, a Southern California non-profit organization that educates workers on their rights and lobbies for higher wages and better working conditions in the logistics sector, said spokesman Sheheryar Kaoosji.

Thats correct driver. Also keep in mind if the deal dose not go through the gates will shut. Con-Way wants out thats why they tried to sell as quick as they did. Truthfully this is really bad both ways because XPO only wants the LTL because they can liquidate the assets and pay off there own debt. At this point the union can't help if the gates are closed. News flash people get your shit together because this as disaster written all over it... The government is now investigating the deal check for your self.

XPO, Con-way deal faces a roadblock with credit rating review
By Tyson Fisher, Land Line staff writer
XPO Logistics’ plan to acquire Con-way for $3 billion may not be a sure thing. One day after news of the deal broke, Moody’s Investors Service announced that XPO’s ratings would be under review for a possible downgrade. XPO has a current rating of B1, which is considered a “high credit risk,” according to Moody’s website.

Moody’s announcement was a direct response to XPO’s plans to acquire Con-way, which would be the second multibillion-dollar acquisition for XPO this year. Back in April, XPO bought Norbert Dentressangle, a European transport and logistics company, for $3.5 billion.

Moody’s review questions XPO’s ability to integrate both Con-way and Norbert Dentressangle without burying itself in excessive debt. Currently, four classes of ratings are under review, all of which are already at a high-risk B1 rating. XPO’s outlook, currently ranked as “stable,” will also be under review.

A document dated Sept. 17 on Moody’s website suggests that XPO’s plan to acquire Con-way is “credit negative.” A similar document dated April 28 declared the same “credit negative” status for the Norbert Dentressangle acquisition. XPO announced plans to purchase Norbert on April 27 and officially completed the deal on June 8, according to XPO’s website.

Relatively new to the game, XPO Logistics began in 1989 as Express-1 Expedited Solutions and was purchased by Segmentz in 2004. XPO completed its first acquisition in 2008 with Concert Group Logistics for $9 million in cash and the issuance of 4.8 million shares of XPO stock. Since then, XPO has acquired nearly 20 companies, with six of those in 2013 alone.

According to the New York Stock Exchange, XPO’s stock has been steadily increasing since 2010. XPO stock reached its peak in May at $50.56 a share. Since then, the price has plummeted more than 40 percent. At press time, XPO stock was priced at $29.21, nearly 6 percent lower than the opening price for the day.

This Conway---XPO ship is sinking and sinking fast.But I guess when it hits bottom them people will ask.What Happen? we didn't see this comming.Doug and Conway gave us a signed guarantee that we would be taken care off?Conway said everything would stay the same after the acquisition by XPO.where's Doug and Joe? we need some guidance in some guarantees from them?But of course they've made their money and their laughing all the way to the bank,well maybe Joe Not so much.But his still gets a good chunk of a pay.and I guarantee that!....Save the Rats and Kiss Asses first!!!!EVERYONE else can sink.

The NLRB is full of shit!!! 3 cases were filed against conway xme 1 for the union buster telling workers the union sent union cards to conway and the union pulled the charge because the NLRB was going to side with conway. 2 a pro union full time dock worker was fired for driving his forklift without the seatbelt, while a anti union full time dock worker and a FOS did the same and no punishment was given but the NLRB sided with conway. 3 a pro union full time dock worker was fired for stealing time, two anti union full time dock workers were caught by the FOS and SCM TWICE for stealing time and no suspension was given and they kept their jobs, and the full time dock worker in case #2 was caught stealing time he was given a write up and the NLRB ruled in conways favor. The NLRB is a bunch of college guys that never driven a truck worked a dock or driven a forklift deciding the working mans fate. Seems like the three cases that the NLRB sided with conway at xme showed everyone at the barn the union or the NLRB couldn't protect us guys against conway.

I'm a former conway employee. Myself and a few few other guys at my barn started the union drive. I got cards signed, I went to union meetings, spoke out against management, anti union coworkers and the union busters. I signed a notice of organizing a union and had it sent to my SCM. I fought the good fight for the union. But I was fired from conway on trumped up chargers. The union I supported filed a nrlb case with a shit load of evidence to support me in getting my job back but the nlrb sided with conway. The union I supported did have me work with them for a few months while waiting to see what happened with my nlrb case so I did have money coming in. The union did have my back I can say that. But I don't have any faith in the nlrb and I think the union handled the organizing of my former conway barn very poorly. I don't think the union has the man power or knowledge to go after LTL companies such as conway and FedEx. Needless to say I work for FedEx freight now but I don't think I'd do it again and try to get the union at my new FedEx barn. Not because I don't believe that the union isn't best for the working man and the company has my best interest at heart but because I don't believe the union knows how to get it done against these big powerful LTL companies and no backing from the nlrb I just can't be another casualty in the war union vs company. I have nothing but respect for the union and my fellow coworkers that stuck their necks out as I did in tying to get a union at Conway but speaking from the front line and have been through the war and seeing both sides of it till I see a better plan from the unions on going after these companies I'll be laying low at FedEx freight.

I worked for Conway also and I remember when they told us not to sign the union card because we have all benefits insurance pay for 1k everything an the minute that we let it go the following weeks came and it was too late I took it off from us i for one want to join the union because I thought it was good but now they took everything from us so now everybody have to suck it up now. I've been working for them since 2002 - 2012 and now I no longer work for them they screwed me royalty. Some of the supervisors there I'm real nasty they curse at you they treat you like crap they help each other out and if they have a friend working there with them they favor them and they give him all the overtime they want versus you you get sent home early before your 8 hours and you work like maybe 2 to 3 days if you're working nights they cancel your run and they give it to their bodies the runs for line haul Mayweather singing to the closest areas you can work the doc and make no money and be humiliated and yelled at by these fos at the FAC terminals. I hope they change with the new company and I hope to get to Union that's the only way nobody will mess with you anymore good luck.
