There are currently plans in place
at Conway that they are set to implement within the next few years. Those plans
include the complete elimination of line haul runs. They plan on using
contractors to run the freight. Furthermore, they plan on doing away with
full-time employees and moving to a part-time and temp workforce. The purpose
of that being a reduction in pay and abolishment of health benefits. It looks
like Conway is dead set on doing this and they will do this. The only way to
avoid this is to organize a union. These kind of drastic change of operations
doesn't happen at ABF, YRC, or UPS. Their work is legally protected by
their UNION contracts. If we hope to have any kind of future here at Conway
it's time we get our own contract.
Over at conway freight ula service center there is a supervisor named Albert c, who is going around asking people about the union. Be carefull about what you say to him. There is also a fac fom who does not know how to manage and has a part time dock worker running fac, how much worse can it get.
ReplyDeletewrite down the name of those supervisors or any personal in management asking questions or making threats to any employee for trying to form a union.it is against the law to intimidate employees who are seeking union representation.report any violation to the national labor ralations board. at ulx there is a manager and personal supervisor violating labor rights.

ReplyDeleteOver at Conway Ulx terminal manager paul styers and personnel supervisor rick licon are going around asking employees who are the people that are pushing the union movement. It's a clear violation of labor law. These two people are not doing a good job of disguising their illegal actions.

DeleteI've Talked to a FedEx freight driver and he said that somewhere on the east coast the close a terminal causes they voted for the union and the company close the terminal since they can't close it for union facts cause its against the law they closed for others reasons and spread ppl around other terminals if that happened here at ULA all the big strappers are going to hate it cause other ppl from other terminal will take their spots caused it will go based on hired dates so to all the big strappers help your self cause the company will not help you

But dont let the big bosses come visit because we put on a BIG BIG show for them. lean is a waste of time and money. ReplyDeleteSome of the guys that were pro union at ula are starting to change their minds. They claim too much talk not enough action. At least 10 I've talked to. They claim they will just ride it out, nobody is informing them of what was going on.
ReplyDeleteIf they're not informed that's because they're scared to go to meeting or talked to their coworker. The sooner we get most of the cards sign the faster we'll get it done, don't forget conway's management will lie and scared uninformed employees saying how bad unions are.those guys changing thier mind let them change their mind and wait till conway drop our dock pay and working 6 to 8 hours a day.

Everyone is always complaining that they are tired of the way things have been and are only getting worse. You just need to man up and think about your future and family. You need to look out for yourself, because everything now is preventable, Conway doesn't care about you. Remember we're all replaceable . Come to a meeting, and get properly informed make time to better your future. Stop making excuses
