What can the teamsters do for us as employees of Con-way?
can you guarantee better pay?
can you guarantee better benefits?
What about you guys calling us scabs before this? did you forget that we were called that by all teamsters? and now we are "brothers and sisters" sounds like a part of the movie sister act!
what guarantee do we have of anything you say? can we get any of this in writing? Why are no union trucking places hiring? how much is the union pension undefunded?
First of all you're not an Employee Buddy, you're either Management or a hired Union-Buster from Portland headquater!!

A contract that would be put together by the employees that are forming their union and you too along with your crew of management will be part of it, once all employees vote for a recognition to organize for unionism by 50% plus 1
There is no guarantee, guarantee is when our future Brothers and Sisters of Con-Way vote and ratify's their contract, guarantee wages are voted by it's members, by voting for progressive pay increase annually.
About benefits being guaranteed? is only up to our future members to negotiate their fringe benefits, once negotiated on their contract, it is voted and ratify by it's members.
About name calling, I don't know much about it, but maybe you had alot of ex-CF workers pissed off, remember CF purchase Con-way and after CF close it's doors.
Guarantee is up to Con-Way employees to vote for recognition to vote for a union to be form, the writing will be put once it form it's union together, plus the members will have to vote and ratify their contract, then it would be in writing, the members and Con-Way Corp can't change nothing on the contract, unless it's members approves and votes on a change.
About hiring, you might consider maybe it has to do with our Economy, as far I know ABF, Ralph's whse, Stater Bro, did some hiring, your not looking in the right direction, what do you care about who is hiring, you're just a union-buster leech.

good post joe,now lets ask this person what has conway done for us lately?lets see,stole 5%of our pay to help pay for a truckload company in the tune of about 750 million dollors,and which it will never pay for itself,and i say stole because conway took it and didnt ask,and they fire people for less, what a bunch of hypicrits,theives and liers they are.stole vacation time from us and yes stole once again i say stole ,because we had accured that time when we hired in oops sorry people you have to start over again,but how generouse they were to allow us to borrow vacation time,wow watch your wallet around these guys they might steal it but thats ok they might loan you some of your money really nice guys they are,lets talk about ins.premiums it used to be 0 now its so expensive might as well go on welfare ins.or you can get the 5 a week ins from conway and pray you never get sick.sub
ReplyDelete-service vans are more and more every day they must go,i saved the best thing for last no damn raise in what 4 years and counting,but really 6 years because they jacked up our ins.premiums heck more than what our so called raise was.now thats what conway has done for us lately,my vote is yes for unionizing.
The reason that union companies don't do much hiring is because the turnover rate is low. Not many people get fired or quit. You would have to be an idiot to quit a union job. So openings are hard to come by because people tend to value their union jobs. Con-way may brag that they do more hiring than union companies but that's only because they kick guys out the door as soon as they mess up.

Can you Simon guarantee me, when an employee gets reprimanded or fired gets a true fair appeal?
and not just a one way street for Con-Way Corporate.
Can you guarantee us simon the union buster, that Con-Way management is not threatening employees, threatening to shut down yards because of union activities?
Let me explain to other Conway employees what “at will” means. it means Conway can fired you anytime they want, that’s why Conway don’t want us to have union representation. do you like to be treated like shit. All you guys who complain everyday on how Conway disrespect you. well , it’s time to wake up brothers and sisters.
