I love paying my union dues its worth every penny... For the bullshit i put up with at GI/Estes having to pay for my benifits no pension! crapy med/vision/dental insurances and knowing i can stand up with my head high and not have to kiss some managers ass is worth every penny....
As a former teamsters I believe its worth a lot to have a monthly due it comes with a lot of benefits example an attorney and when u get in a bind there is a steward to help you with a situation. Plus, more discounts for being a member. And that's what I miss a lot. Being part of a real family.
For those who have not ever been a member ask a teamster member how important it feels to be a teamster for years. I rather be a member and having a true American organization than having a whip behind me and saying that I don’t have a right to say anything at anytime. without a union you are truly not a real family.
Phoenix management of Con-way are saying that you will be paying $60 a week for union Dues, if the union come's in, which will equals to $240 a month! "FUCK" where do I sign for this contract if Con-way are telling their employees we will be paying this amount? That means I will be making $96 dollars an hour.
Just found out Estes only pays about 80 bucks a week for health insurance and includes long and short term disabilities. What ever that means spoke to a line driver he said they just got a raise 1 penny per mile so they are making about 56 per mile and dont get paid delays unless they are working the dock.the city guys get O.T. After 48 hours thats west coast estes..are they doing better than Conway??
just paid my last dues for the month $63 and a total of $753 for the year.which is tax deductible at the end of the year.so stop lying and tell the truth better yet ask a union driver he will tell you the truth.or just ask me,i'm a abf roaddriver.
