ULA has a NLRB hearing scheduled for Feb 17th at the NLRB offices in downtown LA. The union has multiple charges against the Conway and are looking to get the election over turned and possibly have another election. Or who knows we might take the high road and walk out for a few days to show Conway who really runs this company.
As for ULX, the company is holding back the certification of our election. Once the NLRB forces Conway to certify us then we could move forward and start talking about negotiating our contract.
We have to make something clear, CONWAY IS HOLDING US BACK FROM NEGOTIATING A CONTRACT! We need to stand as the UNION at our yard so that management stops playing games with our future. We voted yes and we should start acting like a UNION!!!

There are valid reasons why NOF pulled the petition, it was the right decision, and instead of having to wait 12 months to refile now its only 6 months to get their ducks in a row.
TOGETHER we can and will win this, but as of yet we are just playing right into Ann Arbors hands by fighting amongst ourselves, calling names and finger pointing every time there is a ripple in the water.

Let's be honest guys most of the drivers for Conway are republicans and I gurantee u they will not vote for a union even though it's in their interesting to do so. Look at today's repuplicans even in politics they vote against their interest and the reason is that anything that can help minorities they will vote against it. And that's the truth

Xau has just fired one of are drivers for verbal misconduct he told a superviser he if he was going to be a asshole then he wasn't going to help him now he should not of said that. Well drivers if let's say ABF would like to grow and grow and grow they need 3 things, equipment , drivers , and business,, so my point being Is , conway can not replace all of us there is a huge shortage of drivers we all know this .just a thought, how long could conway last without good drivers.
How about Yrc mabe they need us , remember conway tried to put Yrc out of business, equipment plus us equal business for Yrc and Abf i say that because if conway doesn't have the drivers who will pick up the freight, and if conway can't service the customer guess what stocks hit O and do i need to say more.
I wonder what Yrc or Abf would think if they could let's say get 40 percent of us , the rest would follow because conway may not survive a large number of drivers leaving for the competition , there is no way conway could replace us anytime soon , by then it would be to late, oh dang how about bringing fed-ex drivers along also oh boy Yrc and Abf top dogs for sure, How Could We Get This Done ?

Go Miami , its of my opinion the raise that laredo got us , will be taken away if not all of it some it , im guessing mmabe late 2nd quarter or 3rd , due to the fact conway's freight has fallen at least in some terminal's, and they will use this as a excuse to cut our wages and or say we no longer will cover insurance,

There will be no more raises for at least 3 years or longer.Con-way has just Invested a bunch of money on New Equipment like Trucks,Hand Helds,I T programs and Lean.and as Greg said in the video Con-way has been spending to much Money And Time fighting The Union.So what do you people Expect? For Con-Way to give Us something for nothing?As Greg would say THATS NOT GOOD BUSINESS.I got that from One from Upper Management.This Guy also. Like I said months ago that lean is the end of all of us. Robot's is what they want, trust me when I say this, if everyone is required to do the job the exact same way as everyone else then it makes it easier to replace you. They will have a strict process in place and if you don't follow it you are gone. Don't believe the lean manager's, they get paid to do this stuff, if the share holders would just open their eyes and see that not only hourly employee's are at risk but also supervisors and customer service representatives. This is going to be the worst year we have seen in a long time. Stand up for what you believe in but not to a point where you are singled out alone. Here at ULX and ULA the changes have already begun. Trust no SCM they have been brain washed and now placing fear in the FOS staff and making them feel like they also have no future if they fail to get on board with lean.
The executive management have made it clear to all salaried personnel that if they are not on board with lean then they will be out.
Most of the FOS staff we currently have aren't that bad, think about having some lean guy with no knowledge of operations running your shift or being your supervisor? Thing's will be really bad, that is the direction they are going. No loyalty even to senior supervisors, it's all about lean guy's. Question: has any other trucking company tried to go lean? Answer: no, not any company that doesn't manufacturer has tried going lean, why? It will not work! Lean manager's get paid more than and FOS or FOR and keep in mind that they just arrived, how is it that they come in and get paid more? Ask the top guy's.
